Squad without the spreadsheet
Add players, archive someone who has moved on, or correct a name added by mistake. The people invited to an event are kept — past fixtures don’t rewrite themselves when the squad changes.
Grassroots club management
Grassroo is for volunteer managers who need to know who’s available, collect the fees, and get through the week without a spreadsheet or a 48-message group chat.
The week
Ask the squad in one tap. See yes, no, maybe and still waiting — not a thread you have to count. Then remind only the people who have not answered.
Invite the squad to a training session or a match. They reply from an email link without signing in.
Counts at a glance. Optional comments when someone is late, injured, or bringing a sibling.
Chase the outstanding names. People who already replied are left alone — that’s how trust in the product holds.
Duplicate a session with the date advanced seven calendar days. Same wall-clock time, even across a clocks-change weekend.
Money
Registration, kit and match fees in one place. See who’s paid and what’s still outstanding. Players and parents pay in a tap — they don’t even need an account.
Attach a collection to a match, or raise registration and kit money on its own. Options on a collection, including a free row, if you need them.
Stripe-hosted Checkout — never a card form inside the app. That’s what keeps Apple Pay working on iPhone.
A unique payment link. Parents tap, pay, done. Cash and bank transfers can still be recorded by a manager.
Outstanding obligations, not the whole squad. Connect the club Stripe account once; money lands with the club, not with us.
People
A player is not a login. Parents sign in, players participate, and a family can act for more than one child across more than one team.
Add players, archive someone who has moved on, or correct a name added by mistake. The people invited to an event are kept — past fixtures don’t rewrite themselves when the squad changes.
Send a join link in WhatsApp if you must. It works whether the person already has an account or is creating one. Phone or email to sign in; SMS is only for verification codes.
Linked users can respond to availability and pay fees for their player. A parent of two in the same club is not two inboxes and two passwords.
Club admin, team manager, member. Enough to run a youth club. Not a permissions matrix that only the secretary understands.
The club
Oversee events, players and payments across the club. A single Saturday side can ignore all of this. A youth club with U7 to U16 cannot.
Club home, members, settings, seasons. Connect Stripe, set timezone, and keep the volunteer committee looking at the same numbers.
Events and collections belong to a season. Teams, players and logins outlast it. A club that never thinks about seasons never has to see the word.
What needs attention: unanswered availability, unpaid fees, the next session. Built for a phone at the side of a pitch, not a desktop at work.
The same product in the browser and as a native app. Open it from a home screen today; App Store and Play builds ship the same weekly cycle.
Matchday
A branded graphic from your phone, photos on the event, and a place to record the score when you get back to the car.
Matchday posts in seconds. Opponent, score and club colours, ready to share from the phone you already have in your hand.
Keep the afternoon’s photos with the fixture they belong to — not lost in a chat.
Capture the score against the event so the season has a record, not a rumour.
And the rest
The weekly cycle is the product. These are the pieces that make it fit real clubs.
One event shape. Opponent, home or away, and meet time when it is a fixture.
Waterlogged pitch, and the people who were coming actually hear about it.
Kick-off moved by half an hour? Tell the participants when you save.
An obligation is what someone owes. A payment is money that arrived. They stay separate on purpose.
Verify a mobile number or an inbox. Recover access without calling the secretary.
Asks and reminders on the device, not only in email, for installed iOS and Android.
Who it is for
Grassroo is not a league platform and not a club website builder. It is the operating system for people who already run a side.
One manager, one squad, one Saturday. Create the session, ask who’s in, take the match fee, remind the two who always forget.
U7 to U16, a committee, and a treasurer who needs to see the club — not sixteen spreadsheets. Club admin across every team, with managers running their own squad.
Age groups, term fees, and a week that still comes down to who’s turning up. Collections for registration or retainers; availability for extra sessions.
A named opponent, a meet time, and match fees that have to land before kick-off. Last-minute outs, cash at the clubhouse, Apple Pay in the car park.
Create a club, add a team, ask the squad. Payments go to your Stripe account. We don’t sit in the middle of the money.
